Katherine L. Haymore, PNP
Pediatric nurse practitioner Katherine Haymore started her career taking care of children in some very serious and urgent situations. "I worked as a nurse in pediatric intensive care units at two different hospitals," Katherine recounted. "I became a nurse practitioner because I wanted to help guide patients and their families towards good health and lifestyle choices."
At Novant Health Forsyth Pediatrics, Katherine is happy to have the time and ability to provide that guidance to children of all ages. "I really do enjoy seeing patients of all ages and like being there as my patients grow up," she said. "But I must say a large part of my heart lies with my teenage female patients. Regardless of age or ailment, though, I am always here to help my patients and their families; no problem or concern is too small."
Married to her high school sweetheart, Katherine has a son and a daughter. "Both kids are very active and we enjoy every second of time we spend with them," she said. "We love to be outside together. We also enjoy spending time with our Black Lab, Duke."

Favorite sports team: "Duke! I graduated from Duke, but I was a Blue Devils fan even before I attended."
Favorite cartoon character: "Dory from Finding Nemo. She always does her very best to be helpful and kind."
Superhero power you want: "I would want Wonder Woman's ability to speak any language at any time. This power would help to make every patient feel comfortable and understood regardless of their primary language."
